Wiggle started out as Butlers Cycles, a small independent bike shop established in Portsmouth, UK in 1920. In 1999, Butlers Cycles went online with the launch of wiggle.co.uk.

By focusing on providing unmatched value and great customer service, Wiggle rapidly took off in the UK and soon began expanding around the globe. We have now grown to become a global leader in the online retail of equipment for cycling, running and swimming, selling to over 70 countries in 10 languages and 14 currencies.

We occupy over 85,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and stock over 2 million items!

French Translator

Job Title: French Translator 

Location: Portsmouth

Position type: Permanent 

 

This is a full time permanent position based in our Portsmouth office 

 

What will I be doing?

You will be working as part of the translation team and provide support for the customer service team when/if necessary. As a WiggleCRC translator, you will be responsible for translating everything for your local TLD: website interface, marketing and digital content, technical products, help pages.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Translate website contents, product descriptions and marketing and digital contents
  • Understand and learn WiggleCRC products
  • Make sure the Translation Memory (TM) is organised and up-to-date
  • Make sure the glossary/termbase is organised and up-to-date
  • Assist the customer service team with incoming email and phone queries from customers
  • Any translation and communication in any other foreign language as required by WiggleCRC

  • Native standard of French as well as English

Customer Service Advisor – Bike Product Expert

Location: Portsmouth

Do you understand the importance of outstanding customer service?

As a customer service product expert you will be representing Wiggle, assisting and advising customers via Live Chat, Email and Phone with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to provide detailed product information and recommendations and resolve issues.

What will I be doing?

Working as part of the customer service team you will be responsible for helping maintaining Wiggle’s global service levels across all media and contact types. Supporting customers via contact sources of pre-sale, during-sale and after-sale queries related to all products, brands and services.

What hours will I work?

2 Week rotating shift pattern

Week 1:  06:00 – 14:00

Week 2:  14:00 – 22:00

1 in 4 weekends shifts between 10:00 – 18:00

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure customer queries are answered promptly and completely via both Chat and Email
  • Offer technical support on the whole Wiggle product range, with the objective of ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Calling customers when they request a call back service to provide detailed product information and recommendations and resolve issues.
  • Ensure that all communications with customers are conducted in a professional and courteous manner
  • Offering alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of ensuring customer satisfaction.

Customer Acquisition and Channel Development Manager

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for leading customer acquisition and new channel development for the WiggleCRC group.You will be responsible for developing customer acquisition strategy, leading in-house channel management and innovation and managing a team to drive new customer acquisition.

You will also be :

·Developing new digital channels for customer acquisition.

·Developing new off-line channels for customer acquisition.

·Planning and implementation of acquisition campaigns, optimising campaigns through data analysis and A/B testing, and the identification and development new channel opportunities that are ready to be scaled.

·Manage channel development and cover (but not be limited to) YouTube, Google Display Network, other programmatic ad networks, publisher networks, social platforms, content development, press, print and partnership opportunities.

·Delivering channel performance: Building team capabilities, processes and systems for management control that develop and deliver Wiggle CRC channel performance.

·Identifying and capturing growth opportunities: Working with Marketing and Commercial teams to identify growth opportunities at brand, territory and channel level, through deep customer and channel understanding.Develop a robust testing approach to enable continuous iteration and improvement.

Data Analyst

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Data Analyst to join their innovative and dynamic team based in Portsmouth to help fuel continued growth.

What will you be doing?

  • Utilising machine learning abilities to put in place evolving customer segmentation, analytical models, and behavioural predictions to enable the delivery of personalisation across our CRM framework
  • Using clustering techniques along with data languages (R or python) on big data sets to identify customer behaviour patterns and profiles
  • Working with the Marketing team - use modelling & data analysis expertise to produce actionable insight for weekly and ad-hoc BI.

Senior Test Analyst

Job Title: Senior Test Analyst

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit a Senior Test Analyst to join the Team in Portsmouth.

What will you be doing?

As a professional Senior Test Analyst, you will have 6+ years of experience in hands-on test analysis, planning and execution, having started as a junior tester and been in a progressing Test Analyst role throughout.

You will be highly skilled in testing techniques, requirements analysis, testing methodologies and the processes to support them. You will have a broad range of experience testing different technologies, especially around eCommerce, order fulfilment, and high-volume online retail systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior Test Analyst: Working inside a delivery stream to analyse requirements, author and execute manual tests, run automated regression and manage defects.
  • Matrix Resource: Working as the test team representative, embedded within a delivery stream, to promote testing best practice.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • A Proven (6+ years) successful track record working as a Test Analyst and Senior Test Analyst.

Technical SEO Strategist

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Technical SEO Strategist to join the team on a permanent basis in Portsmouth. 

What will you be doing?

Reporting directly into the Digital Strategy Manager the Technical SEO Strategist will be expected create and deliver a strong, well aligned technical SEO strategy that promotes the organic search visibility for Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycle websites across 20 international variants. This role establishes, maintains and communicates organic best practice with the purpose of growing organic traffic.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify SEO risks and opportunities for the Wiggle and CRC websites.
  • Working closely with the ecommerce product owners, UX and UI teams to prioritise, brief tickets and guide IT delivery on opportunities.
  • Provide best practice advice for our other smaller sites. (including, but not limited to, Blogs and guides, HUB, Insurance site)
  • Ensures organic best practices and search engine guidelines are adopted across the business to maximise organic search visibility.

 

Accountabilities:

Management of organic performance of Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles (and further as needed) sites in all territories

Ownership of website optimisation plans for both brands, including, but not limited to;

  • Website architecture (such as structure, canonicals, href lang)
  • Maximising the indexation of core pages (sitemaps, navigation, hierarchy)
  • Reduce the volume of duplicate pages across the sites
  • Work with wider teams to ensure site speed is within guidelines
  • Mobile considerations across all optimisation opportunities

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Excellent communicator
  • 3+ years organic experience, preferably in multi-site enterprise role
  • Strong analytics skills (experience of using Google Analytics is an advantage)
  • Ability to work on and deliver a number of projects at any one time
  • Ability to create and deliver marketing plans
  • Interest and knowledge on online sports market is desirable
  • Be able to work effectively with minimal direction

Apparel Designer

Job Title: Apparel Designer

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an Apparel Designer to join our own brand team.

What will you be doing?

You will work with the Product Manager and Product Developers to design and manufacture ranges of products in line with brand and range strategy and profit requirements of Wiggle.

You will take an assigned brief and work with all members of the own brand team from product manager to product developer to buyer and merchandiser to ensure products are identified, designed, developed and manufactured to Wiggle’s required standard. Ensuring the products are correctly set up on the website, that the marketing team can create relevant campaigns.

Responsibilities:

·        To design and manufacture innovative and good quality products for our target customer, ensuring maximised profit margins, in line with agreed strategy for each range.

·        To ensure all products are designed within agreed brand guidelines.

·        Present designs in all key sign off meetings and then work with product development team to present samples at all subsequent key sample approval points.

·        Manage individual projects, producing comprehensive CAD packs for factories with supporting documentation & workbooks, ensuring all products are handed over in good time to the Product Development team to ensure ranges are launched on time.

·        Work with factories and partners to develop products in aspects including fit, fabric, trims, ensuring the product works within the agreed pricing, MOQ’s and lead times.

·        Maintain full design records to protect Wiggle copyright and to ensure no conflicts with other designers and competitors.

·        To maintain knowledge in developing markets, technologies and design to ensure Wiggle House Brands remain at the front of product developments.

  • Acting as the key interface between business stakeholders and the respective development teams allocated to the workstreams, you will be proactive and actively engage and participate in establishing development priorities and milestones.

Who are we looking for?

Having experience of managing and developing within legacy technologies, you will enjoy the challenge of overseeing a complex code base, with a passion to want to tackle and work out a way forward with latest technology and approaches. Having responsibility for the development of our software you will want to ensure that delivery, quality and hygiene are maintained to high standards.

 

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • 10+ years industry experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Track record of managing successful development teams, both onshore and offshore
  • Ability to influence others through collaboration in a matrix environment

What will you be doing?

As Senior automation test analyst your primary role is to provide test automation skills within a wider test team, contribution to the growth of the overall automation suite. You will maintain and grow the test automation capabilities by implementing new technologies and ways of working.

You will manage and mentor junior automation testers, implement a vision for test automation, create and maintain metrics for test coverage and growth, and provide best practice guidance within the automation team.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior Automation Test Analyst: Manage a team of automation test analysts to develop a system-wide support capability.
  • Automation Test Analyst: Working in-team with manual testers to be the expert in the application of test automation.
  • Implement and maintain a measure of the % system coverage of all automation tests within 3 months.

What hours will I work?

2 Week rotating shift pattern

Week 1 and 2:  06:00 – 14:00

Week 3 and 4: 14:00 – 22:00

1 in 4 weekends, shifts between 10:00 – 18:00

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer queries are answered promptly and completely via both Chat and Email
  • Monitoring, responding and resolving customer queries on Social media
  • Monitoring and responding to customers reviews across various platforms
  • Calling customers when they request a call back service to answer their queries / resolve any issues
  • Ensure that all communications with customers are conducted in a professional and courteous manner
  • Offering alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Any other Customer service related task

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal in French and English

What will you be doing?

You will be required to work very closely with individuals within the Cloud & Infrastructure Team. Splitting your time based on priorities with the Environments Lead, Network Engineer and Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer.

You will have a very diverse understanding of Technologies and able to research on the job when there are gaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and Monitor a diverse range of server and Network infrastructure.
  • Work well within a team, with sense of ownership.

  • Fulfil a technical role in the team, facilitating knowledge-transfer to team-members when experience dictates.

Who are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of development experience with systems management and administration automation in CMD, Bash, VBScript, PowerShell, or .NET

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible in assisting to bridge the gap between IT Operations and Development teams. You  will be expected to design and document new initiative coming from the business and to advise on the technologies to use, if it be Cloud or On-premise.

To seamlessly transition between technologies and platforms, you will be expected to carry out a multitude of different activities, including, but not limited to, design, maintenance and planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in our engineering team, while also working with the Front and/or Backend development teams to identify and implement the most optimal solutions for the company based on requirements.
  • Managing our Azure environment by making policies and setting standards for its use within WiggleCRC.
  • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Orchestrating and automating WiggleCRC’s internal processes.
  • Designing and building redundant services in the cloud.
  • Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they escalate.
  • Using your knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services and integrate them with existing data providers.

Who are we looking for?

  • Any experience in supporting and maintaining an e-commerce platform.
  • Certification as a Cloud Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification (Other cloud-related certification also a plus.)

  • 5+ Years Working with Microsoft Azure, with some of this time in the area of Serverless components.

Senior Product Developer

What will you be doing?

To work with the within the development team and alongside The Development Manager, Product Manager and designers to develop and manufacture ranges of products in line with range strategy and profit requirements of Wiggle. To ensure originality and effectiveness of all products through design and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Design, Development and Merchandising teams to build innovative and world class products for our target customer. You will be responsible for managing the process from design handover through to bulk production / delivery to Warehouse stage.
  • Manage supplier performance and relationship against agreed projects and agreed KPI’s
  • Liaise between all stakeholders and suppliers over pattern, design translation, specific product details, as well as maintain aesthetics and commercial viability.
  • Manage product ranges, ensuring supporting documentation e.g. workbooks, BOMs, sampling & testing of fabric, product wear testing is initiated and completed within agreed critical path and ready for timely launch or presentation at a stage gate meeting.
  • Responsible for day to day follow up with factories & supplier on status of prototypes / samples, price updates and bulk production status process, ensuring that key updates, information of divergence or delays swiftly communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure all relevant samples are available in good time for sign off meetings and Go/No-Go decisions
  • Build and maintain blocks for all silhouettes across the brand.
  • Creating and grading size charts, organising and managing fit review meetings with design and communicating fit & construction comments on proto samples, size sets, and approving PP samples to the factories, ensuring standardisation of fit and sizing throughout the brand/s is maintained through the process.
  • Support the factory on technical aspects of fabric, trims and fit development by ensuring that all sample garments are properly progressed in line with agreed CP and proven fit for customer's requirements.
  • Liaise with Suppliers regarding minimum quantities, lead-times, fabric and trim availability, booking fabric and trims from sampling to bulk production
  • Responsible for cost review and cost negotiation to meet target prices and intake margins on ongoing basis, for overall garments and value engineering as development progresses.
  • Technically develop and engineer garments to maximise the manufacturing capabilities. Add value to products with technical improvements, detailing or innovative construction techniques.
  • With support Development manager, drive research and development of new products, fabric & trim sourcing and development.
  • Review customer feedback across site to incorporate in future products. Organise review of faulty/returned products and customer feedback and support development & design team to incorporate it to improve product design, performance and quality.
  • Advise marketing team on fit detailing and material specification for ranges.
  • Action and manage fabric, trim and product testing.

Who are we looking for?

  • 4-5-year experience working as a technical product developer with a Performance outdoor or Tri sport brand working on technical soft goods and a proven background of taking commercially strong products to market.
  • Understanding of Performance woven & knit fabrics, waterproof / seam taped constructions, compression wear and knowledge of down fill products etc.
  • Knowledge of garment technology, garment construction, factory production procedures, pattern cutting, and grading is essential
  • Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail with a strive for excellence in delivery

·Weekly Trading Pack – responsible for creating and circulating the Weekly Trading Pack and Mini Pack. Manages team outputs from across the business to tight deadlines to ensure it is delivered on time.

·Commercial performance pack – responsible for creating the pack on time and assisting the senior commercial team with further ad hoc analysis.

·Business intelligence super user – key link between the commercial department and data team, being the first to spot and deal with issues and support projects to increase data efficiency.

Assistant Management Accountant

WiggleCRC are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant to Join the team in Portsmouth.

 

What will you be doing?

 

Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and Management Accounting, the Assistant Management Accountant has responsibility for assisting in the timely completion of the WiggleCRC month-end process in the area of sales, margin and stock, and subsequent preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations. :

Working within the Finance department at the Portsmouth Head Office, the Assistant Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in the accuracy of the month end accounts and ongoing financial control. The Assistant Management Accountant will work to support the Systems Accountant and Retail Account.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Balance sheet reconciliations for margin related accounts such as Margin Provisions, Manual accruals – COS;
  • Weekly reconciliations between trading reports and accounting systems;
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Business Partnering Team and wider Finance department;
  • Month end responsibilities for deferred duty, inbound freight, commissions, and other areas;

Responsibilities:

  • Support Design, Development and Merchandising teams to build innovative and good quality products for our target customer. You will be responsible for adhering to product innovation Critical Path from concept to bulk production / delivery to Warehouse stage.
  • Liaise between design team & factories on translation of design packs into detail product packs using PLM system, ensuring design, fit and colour continuity of existing ranges.
  • Administration, including inputting detailed product information into the PLM system, ordering of porotypes, raising POs through the PLM system and provide information and resolve problems that arise during /after this process.
  • Responsible for day to day follow up with factories & supplier on status of prototypes / samples, price updates and bulk production status process, ensuring that key updates, information of divergence or delays is communicated to all relevant teams.
  • Supporting PD / PD Manager in ensuring samples and prototypes for their category are delivered on time for key stage gate meetings.
  • Organize fit review meetings with design team and fit models, support development team in measuring and fitting proto samples, sending fit & construction comments to factories, ensuring consistency of fit throughout the protos to size sets, pre-production and shipment samples.
  • Administrative support to the PD team, ensuring supporting documentation e.g. workbooks, BOMs, fabric testing, product wear testing etc. is initiated and completed within agreed critical path and ready for presentation at a stage gate meeting.
  • Action and organise delivery of marketing samples for new products and colourways each season and prepare material & product information for handover to marketing team
     
  • Responsible for reporting on the budget for product development, prototypes and samples to the PD Manger.
     
  • With support Development manager, drive research and development of new products, technical improvements, detailing, style or innovation on construction techniques and fabric & trim sourcing and development.
  • Maintain an organised fabric and trim library on an ongoing basis.
