Wiggle started out as Butlers Cycles, a small independent bike shop established in Portsmouth, UK in 1920. In 1999, Butlers Cycles went online with the launch of wiggle.co.uk.

By focusing on providing unmatched value and great customer service, Wiggle rapidly took off in the UK and soon began expanding around the globe. We have now grown to become a global leader in the online retail of equipment for cycling, running and swimming, selling to over 70 countries in 10 languages and 14 currencies.

What will you be doing?

As part of the Delivery team you will engage in the delivery of both strategic and small changes to the Wiggle systems. The scope of work incorporates all infrastructure, applications and customer-facing websites.

You will also…

  • Work with business teams to identify, understand, prioritise and document business requirements, systems impacts and acceptance criteria.  Collate and analyse performance data to ensure informed decisions.
  • Investigate operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
  • Assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems and identify options for consideration.
  • Work iteratively with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.
  • Support the development team to write scenarios / user stories / acceptance tests, agree work packages / sprints and produce estimates.
  • Identify any business readiness tasks required to support delivery.
  • Verify and accept the delivered work packages ensuring the development fulfils the business requirements.  Provide support to the test team and business teams to complete functional and acceptance testing.
  • Prepare the handover of products to the business and support teams through showcases and by documenting any business processes changes and producing user guides.
  • Track and report on task progress.
  • Take part in any ad hoc project work improving the performance of the business as and when required.
  • Investigate, identify and present where appropriate, new technologies or processes that will enable the business units to deliver their strategic goals.

Who are we looking for?

  • Demonstrate experience of working in a Business Analyst role, preferably within the retail industry, specifically ecommerce channels.
  • This role will operate as part of a small team, so you must be willing to get involved in the full project life cycle and be passionate about ensuring delivery is of the highest quality. 
  • Experience of working within an Agile / Scrum project environment is desirable.
  • Ability to translate complex business problems and requirements into well written, concise user stories that can be read and understood by business owners, developers and testers alike.
  • You will have a good eye for detail and be able to demonstrate the ability to produce clear, concise, well supported documentation.
  • You will have experience of working on multiple projects concurrently and be able to manage the priorities within your workload.
  • Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers would be beneficial.
  • Ability to be flexible with work duties and hours as required by the team and business, and able to attend other sites for which travel may be required. A small amount of travel may be required.

What will I be doing?

What Hours will I work?

37.5 hours - 09:00 to 17:00

working every other weekend.

  • Ensure customer queries are answered promptly and completely via both Chat and Email
  • Monitoring, responding and resolving customer queries on Social media
  • Monitoring and responding to customers reviews across various platforms

What will I be doing?

You will be working as part of the translation team and provide support for the customer service team when/if necessary. As a WiggleCRC translator, you will be responsible for translating everything for your local TLD: website interface, marketing and digital content, technical products, help pages.

Project Manager

WiggleCRC are currently on the lookout for a strong Project Manager to join the team on a permanent basis in Portsmouth!

What will I be doing?

You will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of 2 - 3 projects identified by the business at any one time starting from concept creation through to early life support. You will be responsible for delivering both tactical and strategic change to the customer-facing ecommerce websites, internal business systems and processes.

You will also:

  • Design and maintain the project plan within MS Project or other agreed method. Assigning and tracking the tasks necessary to achieve each stage of the project;
  • Engage and manage project resources, both from the business and within IT to ensure project is kept on track;
  • Capture and tightly manage project budget, both external and internal resource spend;
  • Create and update resource plans, highlighting conflicts to Project Sponsor and PMO Manager in advance of conflicts;
  • Manage change requests to ensure delivery timelines are not blindly impacted and business value is assessed.
  • Complete project close, holding lessons learned workshops and handovers to business owners and IT Support and to evaluate the success of the project and the business learnings;

What experience would we like you to have?

  • You will have experience of working within an Agile software development environment.
  • You will have experience of delivering business change projects, involving process improvement.
  • You will have experience of working on multiple projects concurrently and will be able to manage the priorities within your workload.
  • You will have good general IT skills but will also be able to talk to technical team members about more complete technologies.
  • You will have great communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of business and IT teams.
  • You will have excellent organisational, planning and time management skills and have experience in budget control.

Senior Developer

Job Title: Senior Developer

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Developer you will design, create, test and document new and existing software components from supplied specifications. Project change may require the introduction of new Wiggle systems, enhancements to existing systems and integration with 3rd party systems.  You will lead a small squad of 3-4 developers within the backend development team.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of leading development teams to deliver software change and being responsible for delivery of collaborative package of work
  • Development frameworks: Microsoft .Net 4.x with C#
  • Web Technologies: Microsoft MVC 5, HTML5 and CSS, JavaScript and frameworks
  • Testing Frameworks: NUnit, Moq or equivalent
  • Data & SOA: Microsoft SQL Server 2012+, No SQL DB's (Raven, Redis or equivalent), ORM's, nServiceBus or equivalent
  • Industry experience of using best practices for code design (SOLID, design patterns) 
  • Awareness of API first design on platforms such as Mulesoft
  • Experience of developing on Azure PaaS would be beneficial
  • Competent in working in an agile environment, for example Scrum
  • Previous experience of working in a retail or eCommerce business on customer facing or back office systems would be advantageous

What will I be doing?

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking user research for both Wiggle and CRC. You will understand a wide range of research methods, when to use them and how to apply them correctly. This will include, usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis. 
  • Analysing and synthesizing research data.
  • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations in conjunction with UX Designer.
  • Challenges assumptions, ensure UX Designers and the Product team action findings from users.
  • Plan, design and conduct usability tests and user interviews. Effectively undertake associated tasks such as participant recruitment, schedule, producing test materials, setting up test environments, and analysing and delivering findings.
  • Create research deliverables such as personas, customer journey maps,  etc.
  • Share relevant user research findings and recommendations with the team
  • Lead progressive, iterative research across agile sprints
  • Participate in project discovery, Help to generate ideas for features and improvements.

What will I be doing?

This role is a key position in the Production Services Team and involves taking a proactive stance in supporting the Wiggle business in the maintenance and upkeep of existing IT Infrastructure, IT Applications, IT Equipment and Telecoms services.

You will also:

  • Fulfil a senior role in the Production Services team, providing support and knowledge-transfer to colleagues in their daily work and activities.
  • Provide proactive day to day support and administration for all infrastructure and services, including servers, storage and networks.
  • Manage incidents, service requests and change for Production Services team.
  • Manage, tracking and trouble-shooting issues, change controls and live fault escalations.
  • Maintain a high level of availability of services and minimising the risk of exposure to system downtime through continual monitoring of key systems.

  • Authentication and directory services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, GPO management)
  • Windows automation (scripting, imaging, installation, management)
  • Virtualization concepts and functional working skills with various virtualization technologies such as VMware and Cloud-based technology, such as Azure.
  • Shared storage concepts and functional working skills with various shared storage technologies (provisioning LUNs, expanding volumes, configuring RAID, etc.) Dell/EMC arrays and HP MSAs.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring using appropriate tools for example Solarwinds, New Relic using SNMPv3 / SNMPv2 / WMI protocols.

What will you be doing?

Working within the Production Services team, this role will be responsible for the day to day management of all SQL databases across Wiggle’s estate, including monitoring, reporting (including SSRS), SQL reviews, maintenance, performance optimisation and developing/supporting SSIS packages.

You will also:

  • Manage and liaise with developers and third parties to ensure standards and architectural principles are applied as appropriate.
  • Where required, work with the business to capture and analyse requirements, providing technical input in a clear well-communicated manner.
  • Create suitable design documentation and / or data models for others (including 3rd party offshore suppliers) to work from.
  • Analyse systems proactively to identify problems and trends and propose technical solutions and recommend changes to optimise system performance and usability.
  • Managing, tracking and trouble-shooting issues, change controls, bespoke project roll-outs and live fault escalations.
  • Provision of out of hours support.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience and knowledge of supporting and maintaining an enterprise Database platform with a focus on SQL Server 2008 onwards. 2017 skills an advantage.
  • SSRS – Backup Failures/Job Failures/ Instance Status/Service Status and Mirroring
  • Support of SSIS packages & SQL development experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of using and configuring enterprise database monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds DPA & Red Gate.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving MSSQL integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
  • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of database backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication.
  • Experience in implementing MSSQL operational automation.
  • Knowledge of how MSSQL indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching. How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.
  • Knowledge of MSSQL management tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs)

What will you be doing?

  • You will support the application of technical customer marketing and digital communications activity whilst administering our product-led and customer-led communications delivered through our Digital Communications System.
  • Be the primary contact for the publication of our Email Campaigns, responsible to upload the Design Assets provided by our Design Team.
  • You will use technical knowledge and experience with scripting languages to support the administration of our Digital Communications. Most importantly Personalisation, Segmentation and Recommendations, as we seek to develop first class solutions to engage with our customer base.
  • You will be exposed to a range of marketing activity in a fast-pace eCommerce environment.
  • Act in partnership with Customer Marketing, Sales Promotion and Online Marketing to develop the channels and campaigns we use to market to our customers as well as the Customer Marketing and Insights Team to develop the customer base.
  • Support the administration of the send schedule.
  • Support system availability analysis for the business.
  • Own the build, scheduling and testing of all campaigns

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of working with a marketing database and/or email sending system such as Salesforce, Silverpop, Emarsys, Mailchimp, Responsys, Campaign Monitor, Adobe Campaign, Pure360 etc.
  • Technical knowledge and experience, with an appreciation of relational databases, SQL.
  • A passion for the customer journey.
  • You will have an appreciation of customer communications systems, such as an Email System Provider, with a keen interest in developing an understanding of our system today.
  • Technical experience with HTML, CSS.
  • Sound organisation and planning skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workplans, with an ability to prioritise within an agreed framework.

What will you be doing?

As Digital Marketing Analytics Manager you will drive best value to the business from our marketing technology and third-party suppliers and structure data for the marketing team.

You will also:

  • Manage all Marketing data and feed into the business intelligence solution.
  • Work with Google Tag Manager as our main tag management tool
  • Enable the business to embed analytics with each new project, development, partner, brand and product
  • Complete advanced Google Analytics implementations using Google Tag Manager
  • Mange the Data Layer roadmap to assist the CRM and Personalisation team deliver targeted content and promotions to customers
  • Provide data solutions to the Marketing Insights team, managing large datasets for analysis
  • Write new tags in Google Tag Manager using JavaScript / JQuery to extract, modify and utilise information on a website.
  • Assist with reviewing requirements, creating analytics specifications and for robust tracking of marketing campaigns and ecommerce development initiaitves.
  • Troubleshoot ad hoc marketing data issues as they arise
  • Audit and own Google Analytics set-ups to ensure accurate reporting.

The person we are looking for will:

  • Have advanced Google Analytics skills and experience
  • Be experienced in JavaScript, HTML and CSS and SQL.
  • Comfortable using multiple CMS systems
  • Be familiar in building and organising data layers
  • Have experience of working with digital marketing and user experience teams.
  • Be able to troubleshoot code implementations.
  • Have been working with Big Query and Google Cloud
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and try new things.

The following experience would be a bonus

  • Experience with statistical modelling languages (such as R or Python).
