Wiggle started out as Butlers Cycles, a small independent bike shop established in Portsmouth, UK in 1920. In 1999, Butlers Cycles went online with the launch of wiggle.co.uk.

By focusing on providing unmatched value and great customer service, Wiggle rapidly took off in the UK and soon began expanding around the globe. We have now grown to become a global leader in the online retail of equipment for cycling, running and swimming, selling to over 70 countries in 10 languages and 14 currencies.

Customer Service Advisor – Bike Product Expert

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: Competitive

Title: Technical Customer Service Advisor – Bike Product Expert

Position type: Permanent Full Time

Do you understand the importance of outstanding customer service?

As a customer service product expert you will be representing Wiggle, assisting and advising customers via Live Chat, Email and Phone with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism to provide detailed product information and recommendations and resolve issues.

What will I be doing?

Working as part of the customer service team you will be responsible for helping maintaining Wiggle’s global service levels across all media and contact types. Supporting customers via contact sources of pre-sale, during-sale and after-sale queries related to all products, brands and services.

What hours will I work?

2 Week rotating shift pattern

Week 1:  06:00 – 14:00

Week 2:  14:00 – 22:00

1 in 4 weekends shifts between 10:00 – 18:00

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure customer queries are answered promptly and completely via both Chat and Email
  • Offer technical support on the whole Wiggle product range, with the objective of ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Calling customers when they request a call back service to provide detailed product information and recommendations and resolve issues.
  • Ensure that all communications with customers are conducted in a professional and courteous manner
  • Offering alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring, responding and resolving customer queries on Social media
  • Monitoring and responding to customers product reviews and questions across various platforms

Japanese Speaking Online Marketing Manager

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit a Japanese Speaking Online Marketing Manager to cover our Asia region. 

What will you be doing 

You will be responsible for the growth of Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles websites across Asia through the growth of sessions, revenue and market share across Paid Search, Shopping, Organic Search, Affiliates, Social and Remarketing.    

 

This role requires a close working relationship with other Online Marketing teams as well as other internal departments (including Country Managers and Translators).  

Responsibilities: 

  • Create, own and deliver an online marketing plan for Asia 

  • Maximise sales and profitability 

  • Grow market share in the tri sports market across Asia 

  • Execute and develop paid search, affiliate and display campaigns for WiggleCRC  

  • Work with Country Managers and Translation team to ensure traffic generating opportunities are maximised 

  • Identify new third party partners to increase external visibility of Wiggle content 

  • Maximise sales of our house brand products 

  • Regular analysis of campaign performance 

  • Close working relationship with WiggleCRC Digital Strategy team to ensure latest technologies and best practices are adopted  

  • Identify opportunities to achieve revenue growth targets 

  • Own content plan to help grow organic traffic 

  • Other work as required by the team 

 

Who are we looking for? 

  • Japanese language skills required

Warehouse Team Leader

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Team Leader, to be based at our Bilston site on a permanent basis, working on a rotating shift pattern.

 

What will you be doing

 

As the Warehouse Team Leader you will manage an area of the operation as directed to a high operational standard, through delivery of agreed service levels and KPI targets, managing the team in the work area, ensuring that the work is assigned appropriately and that the team work accurately and efficiently in accordance to performance targets as well as safety protocol. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work as part of the leadership team supporting the FM to deliver effective operational performance and in exceeding KPI measures.
  • Manage your departmental team in all aspects of throughput and performance and monitor and control individual performance and feedback.
  • Drive high standards to ensure that company fulfilment targets are met
  • Take responsibility for resolving any inefficiencies within the operation that could lead to SLAs not being achieved
  • Work with other team leaders and departmental managers to allocate resources appropriately to relieve work pressures where required
  • Ensure that work is being assigned effectively by the shift coordinators
  • Manage attendance process, including return to work interviews, sickness absence meetings, welfare meetings, OH referrals etc ensuring full compliance with HR guidelines
  • Manage colleague behavior and, where appropriate, undertake coaching, disciplinary investigations and disciplinary hearings when required
  • Undertake colleague performance reviews in a constructive and productive way ensuring that colleagues understand performance targets and expectations and have improvement plans in place where required
  • Conduct team briefings to keep colleagues informed of performance targets and expectations
  • Drive Continuous Improvement across the site by using MBWA (Management by Walking Around) and 5s
  • Ensure that the highest health and safety standards are adhered to and any incidents or accidents are investigated, and any reporting requirements completed and improvement actions carried out
  • Set the next shift up for success by ensuring that there is an accurate handover in place.
  • Produce comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, objectives and deadlines using the WMS (Red Prairie)

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Experience in a team leader role (or higher)
  • Experience working in a warehouse or operations environment
  • Working knowledge of a WMS system is essential

Warehouse Quality Assurance Operative

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Quality Assurance Operative to join them on a permanent basis in Bilston 

What will you be doing?

 

The Quality Assurance Operative will support the development of, adherence to and continuous improvement to site standards through the development of standards and the auditing, investigation and resolution of any deviations.

Who are we looking for?

Key Job Accountabilities:

 

  • Audit the warehouse processes to ensure both internal and external regulations and standards are being adhered to
  • Drive continuous improvement of core processes to ensure warehouse quality is maintained while efficiency is optimized
  • Train warehouse staff on quality procedures, protocols, and documentation
  • Maintain Quality Assurance documentation, including ensuring auditing and process documentation is kept up to date
  • Develop the standard measurements for processes to be compared against
  • Inspect and test processes and procedures – take measurements and compare to a predefined standard
  • Investigate measurements that are found to deviate from standards
  • Coordinate investigation of quality issues with customers and suppliers
  • Review, approve and communicate root cause and corrective action to stakeholders
  • Train and provide assistance to less experienced members of the QA team on quality procedures, protocols, and documentation

Bike Technician

Job Title: Bike Technician

What will you be doing?

The successful candidate will work on the assembly of bikes in line with PDI process

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and configuration of high quality bikes before dispatch.
  • Monitoring and assessing quality of completed bikes using quality checklists
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
  • Completion of regular housekeeping duties


Who are we looking for?

  • The ability to demonstrate proficiency in bike assembly
  • Proven working experience and the ability to clearly demonstrate a solid understanding in the pre delivery inspection process

Service Desk Analyst

Job Title:  Service Desk Analyst

Location:  Portsmouth

Position type: Full time, 6 months - Fixed Term Contract  

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Service Desk Analyst to join the team in our Portsmouth office for a 6 months fixed term contract.

What will you be doing?

You will co-ordinate the effort and manage the SLA’s for incidents, problems and requests from first point of contact to completion.  You will be accountable for accurate and timely updates from resolver teams, linking incidents to problems, identifying problem through trend analysis. 

Responsibilities

  • Face to face and remote IT and application support to the Wiggle business
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers in line with all agreed support contracts
  • Provide cover for the IT Zone between the hours of 8am-6pm as when required
  • Performing service requests raised to the team including accounts set up, software installations.
  • Pro-actively identify problems and trends and propose solutions and recommendations to optimise systems performance and stability.
  • To assist in transition process from either an internal or external IT development team into IT support.
  • Create and maintain IT support documentation where missing or incorrect.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing Service Improvements Supporting users at offices in various geographical locations. Travel may occasionally be required

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience as 1st line support
  • Knowledge and understanding of ITIL framework.
  • Windows 7 and 10 administration experience.

Product Developer

Job Title:  Product Developer

Location:  Portsmouth

Position type: Full time, Permanent

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Product Developer to join the team in our Portsmouth office.

As a part of development team, you will work with designers, merchandiser and Wiggle suppliers to design, develop and manufacture ranges of products in line with range strategy and profit requirements of Wiggle. You will ensure originality and effectiveness of all products through design and development.

What will you be doing?

  • Working closely with Design and Merchandising teams to build innovative and good quality products for our target customer. You will be responsible for managing the process from design handover through to bulk production / delivery to Warehouse stage.
  • Liaise with all teams and support Development Manager on development of new products and in ensuring design, fit and colour continuity of existing ranges.
  • Liaise between design team & factories on translation of design packs into detail product packs.
  • Create and maintain specs for garments, select fabric and trims based on design aesthetics and desired product performance while maintaining the commercial viability of the product
  • Manage tri-sport & outdoor product ranges, ensuring supporting documentation e.g. workbooks, BOMs, sampling & testing of fabric, product wear testing is initiated and completed within agreed critical path and ready for timely launch or presentation at a stage gate meeting.
  • Responsible for day to day follow up with factories & supplier on status of prototypes / samples, price updates.
  • Managing bulk production follow up, PP samples & shipment / AQL approval process, ensuring that key updates, delivery timeline and information of divergence or delays is swiftly communicated during CP meetings, via emails or 1-1s in timely manner, to all stakeholders.
  • Drive proactive cross functional communication with internal and external teams to achieve efficient and effective product development
  • Organize and manage fit review meetings with design, support development team in measuring and fitting proto samples, sending fit & construction comments to factories, ensuring consistency of fit throughout the protos to size sets, pre-production and shipment samples.
  • Support suppliers on technical aspects of fabric, trim and fit development by ensuring that all sample garments are properly progressed, in line with agreed critical path and proven fit for customer's requirements.
  • Responsible for cost review and negotiation to meet target prices and intake margins, with support of Development manager.
  • Advise marketing team on fit detailing and material specification for ranges for product copy.
    With support Development manager, drive research and development of new products, technical improvements, detailing, style or innovation on construction techniques and fabric & trim sourcing and development.
  • Review faulty/returned products and customer feedback across site and incorporate it to improve product design, performance and quality.
  • Have a keen awareness of relevant sports brands

Who are we looking for?

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of proven background of taking commercially strong products to market.
  • Previous experience in performance sportswear (specially, cycling, running, tri clothing or performance outdoor) would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Performance fabrics, waterproof / seam taped constructions, cycling garment construction etc.
  • Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office skills

German Translator

Job Title: German Translator 

Location: Portsmouth

Position type: Permanent

WiggleCRC have an exciting opportunity for German Translator to join the family!

This is a full time permanent position working from home (must be resident in the UK) or in our Portsmouth or Belfast office.

What will I be doing?

You will be working as part of the translation team and provide support for the customer service team when/if necessary. As a WiggleCRC translator, you will be responsible for translating everything for your local TLD: website interface, marketing and digital content, technical products, help pages.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Translate website contents, product descriptions and marketing and digital contents
  • Understand and learn WiggleCRC products
  • Make sure the Translation Memory (TM) is organised and up-to-date
  • Make sure the glossary/termbase is organised and up-to-date
  • Assist the customer service team with incoming email and phone queries from customers
  • Any translation and communication in any other foreign language as required by WiggleCRC

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Native standard of Greman as well as English
  • Degree in translation or equivalent experience
  • Deep understanding and excellent command of CAT tool
  • Post-editing skill will be an advantage

Sportswear Designer

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit a Sportswear Designer to join our own brand team.

What will you be doing?

You will work with the Design team and Product Developers to design and manufacture ranges of sportwear apparel and accessory products in line with brand and range strategy and profit requirements of Wiggle. You will take an assigned brief and work with all members of the House Brand team from Design Manager to Product Developers and Merchandisers to ensure products are identified, designed, developed and manufactured to Wiggle’s required standard. Ensuring the products are correctly set up on the website, that the Marketing team can create relevant and impactful campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • To design and manufacture innovative and great quality products for our target customer, ensuring maximised profit margins, in line with agreed strategy for each range.
  • To ensure all products are designed within agreed brand guidelines. Present designs in all key sign off meetings and then work with product development team to present samples at all subsequent key sample approval points.
  • Manage individual projects, producing comprehensive CAD packs for factories with supporting documentation & workbooks, ensuring all products are handed over in good time to the Product Development team to ensure ranges are launched on time.
  • Work with factories and partners to develop products in aspects including fit, fabric, trims, ensuring the product works within the agreed pricing, MOQ’s and lead times.
  • Maintain full design records to protect Wiggle copyright and to ensure no conflicts with other designers and competitors. To maintain knowledge in developing markets, technologies and design to ensure Wiggle House Brands remain at the front of product developments.

Who are we looking for?

  • Educated to degree standard in a relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years’ design experience working within sportswear brands.
  • Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of working with Product Life Cycle software (Desirable)

Senior Technical Engineer

Job Title:  Senior Technical Engineer

Location:  Portsmouth

Position type: Full time, Permanent

WiggleCRC are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Technical Engineer to join the team.

What will you be doing?

You will be required to work very closely with individuals within the Cloud & Infrastructure Team. Splitting your time based on priorities with Technical Engineer, Network Solutions Engineer and Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer. You will have a very diverse understanding of Technologies and able to research on the job when there are gaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Work well on own and with others, with sense of ownership.
  • Able to effectively create and collaborate with others on designing and developing a wide range of systems.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Fulfil a Senior role in the team, facilitating knowledge-transfer to team-members when experience dictates. Also assisting in Standups and regular meetings to give progress updates.
  • Containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Configuration automation using any of the following, but not limited to: - PowerShell, PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC), SCCM
  • Deployment automation – Azure, GCP, VMware, Scripting, SCCM, CI Pipeline Tools
  • Infrastructure as a Code processes & Tooling – Packer, Terraform, Puppet & Ansible.
  • Understanding of Security with regards to Cloud computing
  • Backup Network Solution Engineer in supporting the Network Infrastructure in WiggleCRC. Including the following: -
    • Understanding of Layer 3 Routing protocols, routing protocols and IPSec/SSL VPN
    • Understanding of Network Loadbalancing and Loadsharing
    • Design basis of Layer 3 gateway placement and L2 vlan distribution.
    • Basic Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting commands and how to use them.
  • Azure or Google Cloud Certified

Experience:

  • Experience of CI/CD.
  • 5+ years of server infrastructure administration.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Cloud providers.
  • 3+ years of experience with TCP/IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP.

• Enrich, own & maintain the Enterprise Data Management documentation

• Create, implement and maintain Data Standards in partnership with the business

As a Bicycle Technician within our Bilston distribution centre, you will work alongside an experienced team assembling and quality checking our bikes. From a top of the range mountain bike, to a child’s bike or road bike, you will play a key part in ensuring that a high-quality product reaches our customer.

What will you be doing?

  • To manage the product range set up across our supplier base which includes pricing, commercials, product data set up and delivery compliance information 

  • Working with the sales team and Wiggle CRC agreeing annual sales forecasts and intake planning schedules 

  • Review stock and sales reports from internal Wiggle CRC systems to ensure stock being managed within defined KPIs 

  • Monthly B&M reviews to action any challenges and to identify sales opportunities 

  • Update the sales team on new product / brand availability / deliveries to maximise sales opportunities. 

  • Liaise with brands to ensure key product launch schedules are tied into marketing, sales, and buying calendars. 

  • Maintain ordering, intake, promotional and launch planning schedules. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience in a product management, buying or merchandising role 

  • Understanding and use of WSSI reporting

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the design and technical architecture of changes to our systems, documenting how our systems work and maintaining appropriate architectural standards to be followed on our projects.

As we transition to a new platform, the solution architect will be required to help with understanding of integration points with existing systems, as well as owning design of our future platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing solutions that cross technical, product and application boundaries, ensuring that changes are designed, developed and delivered into service in compliance with standards
  • Act as an SME for technical changes in order to provide estimates for new projects or product enhancements
  • Create and maintain design documentation
  • Lead the definition of architectural standards alongside the teams responsible for implementing them and ensure they’re understood and implemented

You will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of WiggleCRC’s ecommerce mobile solutions, as well as defining and maintaining the standards which our software must adhere to, both in terms of development and security.

  • Build high quality native applications for WiggleCRC’s brands.
  • Act as an SME for mobile app development decisions. Help to drive decisions on technology. Understand the impact those decisions will have to ensure the correct options are chosen.
